Creating Places for Active Learning on a Budget

Remake Learning - General Event Graphic.png

Reimagine America’s Schools partnered with Remake Learning and 16 organizations and agencies in western Pennsylvania in the design of a variety of learning environments that support 21st century learning strategies, including STEM, STEAM, Maker, and other active learning initiatives.

Each organization received only a $50,000 grant from local foundations. These projects demonstrate that real change can be achieved on a very limited budget. Also underscored with this initiative is the importance of the connection between educators and designers in creating spaces for today’s learners.

We celebrate these achievements and look for the lessons to be learned from these active and engaging learning spaces on a limited budget.
